Ksana, oil on linen, 32″ x 40″ (2005)

Ksana is a Sanskrit word for the smallest possible increment of time measurement, defined as  he time it takes an atom to move from one position to the next. Philosophically, these nano-moments when linked, are said to create an illusion of a linearly unfolding reality.
